Every new family to Grace School is assigned a Gator Aide, a parent who will call and welcome your family to Grace School and then will help your family throughout the year. They typically will arrange a casual “get together” before the start of the year so that your family can meet other new families and current families in your child’s grade level.
There is Health Center at Grace School, staffed full-time by a registered nurse. The Health Center provides immediate care for students who are ill or injured, administers medication and maintains health records, and provides care for students who have chronic health conditions. Grace School also employees a full time counselor.
During the school months, the Admissions office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meetings with the Admissions Director are by appointment only, so we encourage you to plan your visit by scheduling a tour. If you are not able to reach the Admissions office during school hours, please leave your contact information by calling 713-267-8705 or by emailing Nicole Humlicek. During the summer months, the Admissions office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Start by creating an account for access to Grace School’s Admissions Portal. Next, complete the online application. There are two sections, Applicant and Household Information, and the process takes about twenty minutes to complete. There is a $100 application fee paid online at the time the application is submitted. After the application is processed, a checklist will be generated outlining your next steps.
Submit your application today! The 2019-2020 application and required documents must be submitted by Friday, January 25, 2019. Grace School will continue to receive applications for the 2019-2020 after the application deadline for spots that remain available. Please inquire about availability with the Admissions office.
If your child will be twenty months by September 1st, apply for the Twos program. If your child will turn three before January 1st, apply for our Threes program. If your child will be three years old by September 1st, we recommend the Pre-Kindergarten Three program. Students applying for Pre-Kindergarten Four must be four years old by September 1st.
What if this will be my child’s first school experience and we don’t have a teacher to complete the recommendation?
If your child has not previously attended a school, the Teacher Recommendation is not required but a visitation with the Director of Admissions will be required.
No, formal admissions testing is not required for entrance into Primary School.
Completed applications are due Friday, January 25, 2019. The Grace School Admissions Committee will review applications in the month of February, and notification of Admissions decisions will be sent in early March. Contracts and deposits for enrollment are due by Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
If a class or a grade level is full, a student may be accepted to Grace School but placed on a waiting list until space becomes available.
Submitting the contract, the tuition deposit, and a non-refundable supply fee will secure your child’s spot.
Lastly, complete all of the required forms due for the academic year.
