The Grace School Band involves students from fifth grade through eighth grade. Members of the band learn music reading skills, proper posture, embouchure formation, and breathing techniques in addition to producing the correct tone for their instrument. The band performs a Christmas program and a spring program, along with playing for students and parents in chapel. Band members are highly encouraged to take private lessons on their instrument and are given the opportunity to compete through the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) and the Texas Private School Music Educator’s Association (TPSMEA).
