Rex Causey Middle School Science Teacher
It is truly a blessing and an answer to prayer to have been asked to join a Christian school like Grace. I will be teaching IPC and I am excited to be a part of the team at Grace because it is a tremendous opportunity for me to teach science from a biblical worldview! I will be impacting young minds through the Word of God and developing within them a better understanding of God's world around us. My wife and I will celebrate our 1 year anniversary this summer. We do not have any children, but we are excited to see how many God will bless us with. |

Suzanne DeLeon Early Childhood Twos Teacher
I feel truly honored and blessed to join the Grace staff this year. I am very thankful and excited to be a part of a community where everyone works together to support, nurture, and help each child achieve their goals.
I am a graduate of the University of Houston where I received my Bachelor degree in Journalism. I worked in PR/Marketing/TV Production for several years before God led me to the field of education. I attended St. Thomas University and received my teaching certification in 2002 and spent the next 4 ½ years teaching 1st and 3rd grade in HISD.
I truly believe that being a teacher is a blessing because with each day brings more joy. I strive each day to create and develop engaging, fun, and challenging lessons for all types of learners. I believe in fostering relationships with both parent and child and working together to meet each child's goals. The best part of being a teacher is seeing the excitement and pride in a child's' eyes as they understand, grow, and achieve success throughout the year. |

Rebecca Hemley Middle School Language Arts Teacher
Given the climate of promise and excitement that Grace School is currently enjoying, I was eager to join this community and feel blessed to have been invited to be part of it. Many years of private middle school experience; my understanding, respect, and love for early adolescents; high energy level, enthusiasm, and creative approach to the classroom will enable me to provide students with a challenging and supportive environment where personal excellence is encouraged and success becomes the norm. At the University of South Carolina, I majored in Secondary Education/English. After graduation, I continued my education with post graduate work at Clemson University where I completed course requirements for the National Writing Project. My passion for teaching is matched by my interest in travel. Seeing the world with my husband and our friends has become a large part of my professional development. Beginning a new journey at Grace School delights me! |

Candice Hermansen Fourth Grade Teacher
I am so excited to be joining the staff at Grace! As a neighbor of the school, I have heard wonderful things about the staff, the community, and the students. I have been teaching school for five years in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex as well as the Houston area. As a teacher, I challenge my students to develop a set of skills for life-long learning and thinking while instilling an unwavering set of values. I believe developing a love of learning is the greatest gift a teacher can give a student.
Second only to my faith, my family is my greatest source of strength. My husband and I are very close to our sisters and parents. When we are not spending time with family and friends, we enjoy traveling, going to movies, and attending Texas A&M sporting events (where we both spent our college years - Gig Em!). |
