What is the Grace School Annual Fund? The Grace School Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition income and the full cost of educating our students. This vital source of revenue represents the steady and ongoing support of parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, alumni, parents of alumni, and friends who believe in the exemplary Christian education delivered by Grace School.
How are Gifts to Annual Fund Used? Gifts to Annual Fund subsidize the operating budget and sustain the high quality education offered by Grace School. Annual Fund provides our students with current technology, life-changing retreats, co-curricular activities, and other programs that support Christian values and academic excellence. These gifts also enable us to attract and retain outstanding teachers with competitive salaries and professional development opportunities.
Why Not Charge the Full Cost of Tuition? Grace School is committed to developing students into leaders who possess intellect, compassion and faith. To serve the greatest number of young people, Grace School seeks to keep tuition as affordable as possible. Gifts to Annual Fund, which are tax-deductible, help in this effort and make a difference in the lives of every student every day.
Does the Church Provide Funding to the School? Grace Presbyterian Church owns the school buildings and the land on which they stand. The church does not charge us rent, but we do pay for the day-to-day operational expenses such as utilities, maintenance and repairs. Grace School does not receive funding from local, state or federal programs.
Who Supports the Grace School Annual Fund? In short, anyone who believes in Grace School! Contributions of all sizes represent support for Grace School from parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty, staff and friends.
What is the Goal of This Year's Annual Fund? The financial goal for the 2007-08 Grace School Annual Fund is $200,000. This is seven percent more than we raised last year and will help keep pace with inflation. Even more important is the participation goal of 100%.
Does My Gift Really Matter? Yes! Every gift, regardless of size, is important because it shows support for Grace School. When outside funding sources consider whether or not to award grants to the school, they consider the participation levels of parents, alumni, faculty and other constituents. Your gift of any size is a vote of confidence in Grace that maintains the quality and affordability of the Grace School experience and opens doors to other funding.
What is the Duration of the Campaign? Annual Fund is a yearly campaign that coincides with the school’s fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Gifts are raised and spent in the same year. Each July 1, we begin a new fiscal year and the fund balance drops back to zero.
How do Gifts to Annual Fund Differ From Donations to Parents' Club? Through special fundraisers and dues, the Parents’ Club provides financial support to Grace School for designated items. In recent years, Parents’ Club funding has provided new riding toys for early childhood, guitars for 5th graders, and underwriting for school musicals.
Is My Gift to Annual Fund Tax-Deductible? Yes. Grace School is a 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts to Grace School are deductible to the extent allowed by law. |
