Connecting Classrooms Globally

By | Grace News, STEM / STEAM | No Comments

Grace School first graders are connecting with students around the world through STEM education. With the guidance of Betsy Crafton, Lower School STEM/STEAM teacher, Grace first graders are working on the same projects as elementary school students in Palestine. Even though they’re more than 7,000 miles apart, today both classes worked on an structural engineering assignment. Grace had a special guest assisting. Nicole Bruno is a Structural Engineer at Audubon Engineering. She helped the students build towers out of dry spaghetti, marshmallows and tape. The first grade class will stay connected with their friends in the Middle East throughout the school year.
