Grace School was founded in 1975 after Reverend Dan Baker, the first pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, envisioned a Christian School that would be an extension of the Grace Church Christian Education program. When the school opened in 1975, there was one Pre-Kindergarten class, one Kindergarten class, and one First grade class for a total of 15 students. Under the current leadership of Dr. Liz Walgamuth and the School Committee, Grace School continues to grow. Now, more than 30 years later, there are more than 400 students at Grace School ranging from 20 months in Early Childhood, through eighth grade. Our experienced faculty and small class sizes offer students a chance to excel academically in an environment that enables them to explore and deepen their faith through service to others. Many enhancements have been made to the school over the last few years including a lower school science lab, fifth through eighth grade band, athletics beginning in fifth grade, and three newly remodeled third grade classrooms with state-of-the-art technology. As Grace continues to grow, it is our vision to develop leaders in our community who continue to learn to lead and live to serve long after they have left Grace. Visit our family: Book a tour....

The excitement is building! Grace School is currently seeking funds for the Classroom Campaign to remodel the remaining classrooms, bathrooms and hallways in Lower School and Middle School for the 2010-2011 school year. The goal is $1,500,000. To date, we have currently raised $103,000 towards the total.
Fourth grade students worked several weeks on their service learning project. This project involved many components. The week before Christmas break, the classes finished the project by putting together disaster boxes for each division with emergency items in them. The students received information from the American Red Cross on particular items needed for the disaster boxes. Students even donated items and contriubted money to help purchase some of the supplies for these boxes. These students are prepared in case of any kind of natural disaster. We now have fourth grade Masters of Disasters!
